Young Leader's Forum: May 18-19, 2010

On May 18-19, 2010 WIEF will be hosting the Young Leader's Forum, amongst other Forums, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. At the Marketplace Event, there are going to be young Muslim artists coming from America, UK, Oman, Netherlands, South Africa, and Malaysia to name a few countries. There'll be displayed art work, photographs, film screenings, theatre, dance performances, musical & comedic performances, and live mural paintings happening in the Marketplace. There will also be ample opportunity to purchase creative work from the artists!

Amidst the Marketplace Event will be a session titled "Identity in the 21st Century: Investing in the Future of Creative Arts," which I will be moderating. Four accomplished professional artists will be speaking on the panel, on topics such as how cultures and perceptions of Islam and the Muslim world can be modified through visual and creative expressions, and how to create more opportunities and encouragement for young people to pursue the arts. Ooooh it's gonna be goooood! :) (InshaAllah)
