The sustainable aspects of the school help children learn that they can make a difference by giving them hands-on experience and allowing them to make connections between the Quran and the world in which they live. (Some of the sustainable aspects include the following: The majority of the classrooms face south and receive the most sunlight. Awnings provide shade for the hottest times of day. Cisterns capture and reuse rainwater for student gardens.) |
